Mark Faherty, Science Coordinator at Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and writer of the Weekly Bird Report on CAI, will join Jung-Ho Pak on stage to talk about the relationship between bird songs and music. The Cape Symphony will perform “Wampanoag: Stories for All Time” by Native composer Tonya Wind Singer, a piece that immerses listeners in the sounds of traditional Wampanoag rhythms. Dawn will perform “Old Cape Cod,” as made famous by Patti Page, “(I Like New York in June) How About You?” and “Skylar,” among other favorites. She graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a Bachelor’s in Music, and has performed in New York City and around the world in operas, musicals, and, over the past dozen years, as an award-winning cabaret singer.ĭawn sang with the Cape Symphony at our annual Holiday on the Cape in 2021, and I’m excited to have her join us at the Seashore,” said Pak.
